
The Science and Technology Parks Department is holding a scientific workshop entitled "Technology Incubators: From Idea to Company." Under the patronage of the President of the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Al-Asadi, and under the direct supervision of the Assistant President for Academic Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Khazal Al-Kaabi, the workshop addressed the procedural guide for incubating projects, the nature of projects relevant to incubators, entrepreneurship projects, and the application process. The workshop featured lectures by the Director of the Science and Technology Parks Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Nada Mahdi; the Certified Entrepreneurship Trainer, Assistant Professor Dr. Hassan Nemah; and the Director of the Entrepreneurship Unit at the College of Administration and Economics, Assistant Professor Muhammad Nabil. Student projects selected for incubation by a specialized committee were also reviewed. The workshop concluded with an open discussion session, which featured the presentation of numerous ideas and projects and concluded with a set of recommendations, most notably: encouraging students to think creatively and put their ideas into practice, through the prominent role played by incubators as a platform for supporting, evaluating, and developing these ideas to create a creative, entrepreneurial generation that serves the development of the national economy.
