College of Arts Organizes a Scientific Seminar Titled “Green Economy: Between Reality and Ambition”

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Muhannad Jawad Al-Asadi, President of the University of Basrah, and the supervision of the Technology Incubator Division at the University Presidency, the Technology Incubator Unit at the College of Arts organized a scientific seminar titled “Green Economy: Between Reality and Ambition” on Monday, December 2, 2024, as part of the Entrepreneurship Week activities.

The seminar addressed several topics, including the concept of the green economy, its role in achieving sustainable development, and the contribution of academic institutions to promoting eco-friendly economic approaches. It also discussed ways to transform entrepreneurial ideas into productive environmental projects that help reduce pollution and improve the quality of life.

Participants emphasized that the green economy represents a global trend that creates new job opportunities based on innovation and clean technologies, calling for enhancing environmental awareness among students and researchers and encouraging them to develop entrepreneurial initiatives that support the national economy.
