The College of Arts at the University of Basrah organized an awareness seminar entitled “The Concept and Importance of the Orientation Toward Entrepreneurship”, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Muhannad Jawad Al-Asadi, President of the University of Basrah, and under the supervision of the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, in cooperation with the Technological Incubator Unit, as part of the Entrepreneurship Week activities.

The seminar discussed the concept of entrepreneurship and its vital role in building an innovation-based economy, as well as the key motivations for entering the entrepreneurial field and transforming ideas into productive projects.

Speakers also highlighted the main traits of a successful entrepreneur, such as creativity, leadership, self-confidence, and the ability to manage risks and achieve financial independence.
The seminar concluded that promoting an entrepreneurial culture among youth contributes to job creation and national economic development.
