The College of Arts at the University of Basrah organized a student activity entitled “The Importance of Entrepreneurship”, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Muhannad Jawad Al-Asadi, President of the University of Basrah, and under the supervision of the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, in cooperation with the Technological Incubator Unit, as part of the Entrepreneurship Week activities.

The activity aimed to enhance students’ understanding of entrepreneurship and encourage creativity and innovation in their fields of study, as well as to introduce them to the mechanisms of establishing small projects and transforming ideas into productive initiatives that serve the community.

The event included student and faculty discussions highlighting successful youth entrepreneurial stories and the university’s role in supporting young talents and fostering an innovative environment.
Participants emphasized that promoting an entrepreneurial culture among students is a key step toward building a sustainable knowledge-based economy.
