The College of Arts at the University of Basrah organized an awareness seminar entitled “The Phenomenon of Drugs, Cyber Blackmail, and Human Organ Trafficking”, under the patronage of the Technological Incubator Unit in the college, and under the supervision of the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, as part of the Entrepreneurship Week activities.

The seminar aimed to highlight the social, psychological, and legal dangers of these phenomena, and to emphasize the role of educational institutions in raising awareness among youth and promoting a culture of prevention and social responsibility.

The event included awareness lectures delivered by specialized professors, who discussed the impact of drug abuse on individuals and society, the mechanisms of cyber blackmail, and the ways in which young people may be exploited by human organ trafficking networks.

Participants stressed the importance of intensifying awareness programs within universities and enhancing the role of digital media in confronting these dangerous issues that threaten young generations.
