The Department of Geography and Geographic Information Systems at the College of Arts, University of Basrah, in cooperation with the Technology Incubator Unit and the Basra Health Directorate, organized a specialized workshop on oral and dental health as part of the Iraqi Oral and Dental Health Week.

The workshop featured the participation of specialized dentists and faculty members, highlighting the importance of maintaining oral and dental health, promoting regular dental check-ups, and raising awareness about the prevention of related diseases.

Key recommendations included:

• Enhancing public health awareness about the importance of dental care.

• Organizing regular scientific seminars and workshops to promote a healthy culture within the community.

This workshop is part of the College of Arts' ongoing efforts to enhance community health awareness and contribute to improving the overall quality of life in Basra.
