University of Basrah College of Nursing Holds a Memorial Council Commemorating the Martyrdom of Imam Jaafar Al-Sadiq (Peace Be Upon Him)

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazem, President of the University of Basrah, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Majid Asghar Mohammed, Dean of the College of Nursing, the College of Nursing at the University of Basrah held a memorial council commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Jaafar Al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) on Thursday, April 24, 2025, in the college’s main hall at the Bab Al-Zubair Campus, with the participation of faculty members and students.

The event was organized under the supervision of the Technology Incubator Unit, led by Dr. Sundus Baqer Dawood and Dr. Noor Jabbar Mohammed, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, the Educational and Psychological Counseling Unit, and the Women’s Affairs Unit.

The memorial included speeches highlighting the blessed life of Imam Jaafar Al-Sadiq (PBUH) and his significant contributions to science, knowledge, and the development of Islamic intellectual thought, as well as his moral and scientific values that laid the foundations for intellectual and spiritual enlightenment.

This event is part of the College of Nursing’s cultural and educational programs aimed at promoting moral and religious values among students and strengthening awareness and belonging within the academic community.
